Lonesome Dove Hill Country Cabin and Ranch offers a unique Texas Hill Country experience and has easy access to surrounding attractions. It is near over 30+ wineries and several state parks. This is the place you get in a "Hill Country State of Mind". The roads throughout the Hill Country vary from paved to dirt and all on rolling hills. Be prepared to take the road less traveled for this is where the treasures are found!

Blanco is a hidden treasure located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country on the Blanco River, just 50 miles north of downtown San Antonio and almost the same distance west of Austin. You are 15 minutes from Wimberley, 15 minutes from Dripping Springs, 25 minutes from Johnson City.

During your stay, you will enjoy a memorable vacation in our fully furnished, 1520 sq ft 3 bedroom/2 bath Hill Country Home on 40 acres. The main/master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, while the remaining rooms are furnished with a full-sized bed, and one with 2 twin beds. It is comfortable for sleeping 6 people.  All beds have linens provided and extra blankets and pillows. The bathrooms are stocked with towels, wash clothes, hand towels, and black microfiber towels for makeup removal.

The living room is furnished with TV, blueray player and DirectTV.  The kitchen features all new appliances and is stocked with all necessary items for cooking including dishes, silverware, glasses, wine glasses, coffee mugs, and more.

A whole house filtration system and water softener were installed plus a Reverse Osmosis system connected to the refrigerator for pristine drinking water.

There is a portable cooling unit in the upstairs bedroom for additional cooling as heat rises and we want you to be comfortable.

There are plenty of hiking trails and views for miles. Spend the day on a winery tour, floating the Guadalupe, checking out local swimming holes, or hiking the trails on our property looking for arrowheads. Head over to Wimberley or Dripping Springs for some great food and shopping.

Watch the sunset from the expansive front porch or balcony off the upstairs bedroom. Cherish your family time by the firepit roasting marshmallows making smores and taking in more stars than you have ever seen! There is 1.7 miles of dirt road to the property entrance.

We have security cameras on the back of the house pointing towards the drive as you come, as well as one pointing towards the gated entry

We are Pet Friendly. We allow up to two dogs only. No other pets allowed. We have a $100 pet fee. Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds and must be crated if left alone in the cabin. Owner is responsible for supplying crate.
